Bojan Kumer
Bojan Kumer, born on 30 July 1974, obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and also holds a master's degree. He started his professional career in 2001 at Elektro Celje d. d. In February 2003, he began working as head of sale and purchase of electricity in Elektro Celje d. d.; in September of the same year, he took over the managing of the Electricity Marketing Unit of the company and then became its CEO for marketing in February 2004. He enrolled at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana as a part-time student and completed his postgraduate master’s studies in electrical engineering sciences in 2008. In 2009, he took on a new challenge as head of development projects for external operations in company GEN-I. In April 2010, he took over as head of retail service for Slovenia and, together with his team, led GEN-I to become the biggest electricity supplier in Slovenia; last year, he was also actively engaged in GEN-I's successful penetration of foreign end-user markets for natural gas. In May 2013 he was appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning.
