Personal

Dr Stefan Ulreich is the Chair of the WEC’s Global Energy Frameworks partnership with Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) and advisor of the WEC vice-chair Leonhard Birnbaum. He is also a member of the WEC’s Programme Committee and Rules of Trade Knowledge Network. He works for E.ON AG in Düsseldorf in the team of Political Affairs and Corporate Communications with a special focus on Renewable Energies. Since May 2000, he has been working in the electricity business, taking care of emissions trading – first as a trader, then in the field of energy policy. Furthermore, he investigated the influence of emissions trading on the new power plant investments of the E.ON group. Mr Ulreich is Chairman of the project group “Climate Change” of the German Electricity Association and member of the EURELECTRIC working group “climate change”. Before getting involved with the energy sector, he worked for an investment bank in Frankfurt and in London.
